Unit Situation Report

The past few weeks has had it's ups and downs but we are finaly back on track and moving forward again.
One of the higlights has been the introduction of ArmA 2's first expansion; Operation Arrowhead, which is now up and running on our server alongside the new version of ACE 2. We have CPL.Dejong and PTE.Endersby to thank for their dedication in getting everything running smoothly.
Our RLC section has been very busy in making missions for the new maps included in Arrowhead. We now have several missions a new camp; Oscar and a new FOB (forward Operating Base) with the same name. We have also updated our exsisting Camp; Freddy, with the new content from Arrowhead. Big thanks to LCPL.Paice and CPL.Dejong for their efforts and creativity in making the new camps and missions.
Another highlight has been the re-introduction of training lead by PTE.Timmis, who's real life experience has been and will continue to be invaluable in the continuation of unit wide training.
The last highlight is the reboot of operation monument, which is a very ambitious project lead by our RLC section. It is set to be a persistant campign in which we deploy to the island of Isla Duala to try and stabilise the region. This is still, very much, work in progress and I will update you as soon as any intel as it becomes available.
There is still much work to do over the next few weeks and months but i have every confidence in the many dedicated members investing a lot of their free time into the continuation of the unit.

Huge changes at the 16AA in the last month. The majority of these changes are in the Leadership of the Unit, and subsequent promotions and re-organization of the Unit and members.
Do to work commitments, 2LT. Hutson elected to step down, as the OC of the 16AA. He will remain an active member of the unit, occupying the post of Platoon Sgt.
L/CPL Hewitt has volunteered to take over the leadership of the unit, and has subsequently been promoted to the rank of 2LT, and will now command the 16 AA. All the members wish our new OC congratulations on his promotion and expect the appropriate rewards at the bar (I think one months pay is the norm, Lt Hewitt)
Platoon Sgt Mason will also be leaving the unit in Sept of this year, returning to his home country of Australia, and will be placed in the Reserves at that time.
Cpl Moffat has asked to step down from his duties at 1 Section NCO and will take up a postion as a Private in 1 Section.
Cpl Harlow has retired from the Unit and other leadership positions have also become vacant.
The Unit is busy re-organizing under Mr Hewitt’s command, and will be reduced to a HQ’s element (2Lt Hewitt, OC, Sgt Hutson, Plt Sgt), 2 Sections, and a Flight Section. Members who are not able to remain active, or can only come out occasionally, will be moved to the Reserves and fill in empty section positions, when they are able to make games.
1 Section will now be commanded by CPL DeJong and L/CPL Frozina
2 Section will now be commanded by CPL Riordan and L/CPL Paice
1 Flight will now be commanded by CPL Miller
